I Am a Heathen

well, it goes all the way back to 1994, i had just turned 14 and told my parents that i don't really believe in "god"... they weren't exactly okay with it, but at the same time when i explained my point of view they knew there wasn't much they could do to change my mind. and that's how i became a godless heathen

I told my parents a few times. They're like "oh stop it. You believe in God." And walk out of the room. Like, I'm doing this for attention or something 😂

The enemies of Christianity are not atheists (who really don't care much about belief) but ex- Christians who had an uninspiring time as a superficial unthinking "believer."

I'm a nihilist, so it really doesn't matter to me one way or the other whether a god exists, many gods exist, or no gods exist... when you have it in your mind that it's all for nothing, you can accept it and move on knowing that there is no ultimate outcome, or become depressed that everything is without meaning... i chose the former, you get 1 life to experience, and ascribe whatever meaning you want to it before you die... to me, knowing there is nothing beyond this makes it far more precious than believing there is a "plan" for us and that we'll be rewarded or punished depending on how we behave when we're alive...
