Isnt it a shane that people dont do the right thibg unless forced to or punished for not doing so?
I was sick with a fever and sinus problems Monday so called the Dr. He sent me for a Covid test and I called out of work. The Dr gave me an excuse for 3 days out. On the 2nd out day I tested negative for Covid and felt better so I texted my manager to let her know I could work the next afternoon 1-9:30. The next day she called at 9:00 demanding I come to work right that minute and work 12 hrs. I had a Dr appt at 10:30 so didn't do it. When I got to work I told her i didn't have to be there at all that day because the Dr had given me a 3 day excuse. All of this wouldn't be as bad if she was actually a good manager but she's not. She rarely works but dumps heavy workloads on everybody and she often leaves early or doesn't come in at all. She calls out sick left and right but gets very upset when employees have to be out. I'm thinking of calling HR and reporting her unethical treatment of me trying to force me to work 12 hrs when I had been sick. Then again that may cause too much trouble. What do you think?
