I Don't Believe Doctors Have All the Answers

That's true, they don't. But when you look at them, really look at who they are and where they have been left - it's hardly surprising. This is my story, from the outside into the depths. It's short, and I hope that it will light a spark in some of you.

When I calm my other half, tell her it's all ok, remind her how awesome she was in the team in OPD, Manguzi, and ask her how she can recreate that level of awesome here, I often feel like I should record those pep talks and send them out in a podcast to all the doctors who feel the same (especially those who don't have a sympathetic partner) - let down by the government, let down by their professional bodies, and let down by the media. There's no consultant in A&E in Norwich tonight, and a trainee GP is one of the best they have. For 10 hours. It's not on, it's unacceptable, yet the public perpetually moan about the service they get, as do the media, and the government simply pay a large staff to .. do nothing about it and provide propaganda - let's not beat about the bush, it's propaganda. If this touches you, I'm glad. I am one voice, but if it penetrates anyone's heart it has made a difference. Go well, be nice, and spread the love, write to your MP if you can. A doctor is a much harder role to fill than it's ever been, and now they have to look after themselves politically as well. Ugh what a rant - wishy washy and emo. Some people might feel it though, I hope.

Write to my MP, lol, Yvette Cooper? I'll throw the letter in the bin myself!

@SW-User I disagree, the way I wanted to write it said no such things. I'm sorry I made you think I'd assumed things about you.

@DreamCoCreators Yvette Cooper is one of the majority of MPs today whom as no interest in the people whom she represents, i have met her and talked with her, she is a career politician and that is that. She nods and smiles.

My grandfather and his father both fought and died for the freedoms we enjoy today, the freedom which allowed me to vote for the independant candidate in my area. The area is staunch Labour and you could allow a monkey to stand for labour and it would win. It is what it is.

I have also spent nearly a year in hospital and not once did i blame the staff for the lack of equipment, poor quality food, lack of medication, unsanitary conditions, over crowding and persistent horrendous waits for treatment that never came. But i will excuse you for not being aware.

@SW-User Thank you for the detailed response - I fail to see anywhere I might have implied that I said anything negative about you personally in any of those ways, my words are neutral and also general in type and meaning as far as I can tell. I also agree about Yvette, as I said already, so sympathise. I honestly don't know why you said any of those things unless you are simply being conversational. I admire your perceptive nature in terms of the NHS situation, and again I'm sorry I made you think I said any of those things about you - I did not intend to in any way, my comments were on the populous at large.
They are only human.. They don't know half of anything

@SStarfish Some more than others, we do what we can. Rather they were there than not there..!
