I Am Not Voting

I'm worried about tomorrow. I have to go to the voting polls with my parents because they expect me to vote just like them. But I plan on not voting for anyone and leaving it blank. And I don't need any replies of anyone judging me for it. I already heard the lectures from everyone already. Could anyone get punished for doing that? Is there a way my parents can find out?

If you're really 22-25 years of age then what the hell are you worried about? What are your parents gonna do, ground you? You're an adult! You don't have to vote if you don't want to and no one can make you vote.

You've never met my parents. They didn't even ask me if I was going to vote. They just told me I have to vote and you have to come with us. My parents kept lecturing my brother when he told them he wasn't vote and how important it is to do it and being less of an American if you don't...blah blah blah. But it's easy for my brother not to vote because he's at a college 7 hours away. I still live with my parents unfortunately so I do have to follow their rules if I still stay in their house.

@JewStar4Life: But my point still stands: you're an adult. You may be living with them but they cannot tell you what do to and they most certainly cannot make you vote. If they have any respect for you, they'll leave you be. But if they don't then they don't deserve any respect in turn. Respect isn't a one-way street, even for parents and their kids.

@Carver: Right. That's why I plan on lying to them by going with them to vote to please them but by the end of the day, I'm leaving my ballot blank.
