My children will not know the pain their parents have gone thorough

My husband and I were both physically and sexually abused as children , we have made a vow to end that cycle!

If only it were that simple... even though you might not abuse your children, it's possible that someone else might.

One of my early abusers was another kid at school - my parents didn't know about it until afterwards and there's not a lot they could have done.

@HootyTheNightOwl I am sorry, both my husband and i were abused by our dads, and their dads abused them, so we are doing our part to end that cycle of abuse

@AlyAngel I was physically abused by my male parent, too... from around the age of 8 to 16 when I was able to break all contact with it.
