I Am a Caregiver

This is a rant.
Tired of this shit to be quite honest. I've great bedside manner and a shit ton of patience but 3 years of the same BS will wear anyone out. Great grandpappy over here hasn't been home for 4 hours from his assisted living facility for physical therapy(which he refused to do) and is already wailing at the top of his lungs that...wait for it...his big fucking toe hurts. And this requires screaming loud enough that I can hear him clear as day across the street. There is nothing we can do for his big toe. He doesn't care. He wants something done and when he doesn't get his way he'll whine and moan, tell us to just kill him or that he'll just kill himself. Which earns him a nice scolding because he chooses to say these things in the presence of children. 14 and 5. Of course the kids are sent elsewhere while we sort it out but they can hear it and they can feel the tension. I'm not understanding why his ungrateful ass is still in our home. I was never close to him but my father was and insists he stays. Even my mom has about had it though. And I'm pretty sure my dad is about there too really. He's the one who handles these ridiculous tantrums because mr grandpappy here has zero respect for any women. He simply ignores us or tries to get violent, often hurting himself in the process. Screaming at us is not acceptable but nobody can get that in his thick fucking skull. But when he ends up in the hospital, which I'm sure he will insist on calling the ambulance before the night is through, he will then say something different hurts or something else is bothering him. Only for them to find absolutely nothing wrong just like the last 20 times he's been taken to the ER.
This is not my house and so I dont make the rules but this is some bullshit the entire family has put up with for way too long. Makes you wonder why none of his 7 kids wanted anything to do with him when he needed someone to care for him.
Our entire lives revolve around his selfish ass. Our wallets do too. Tired of this shit.

There is no satisfactory answer for this. If only the human body didn't wear out...

I don't mind elderly people most of the time. Just this one. My great grandmother was a struggle too, had dementia and that was frustrating for her as well as us. Even she didn't act like this much of a shit though. @MarkPaul
