I Love Classic Literature

Any recommendations? I'm running out of ideas. I wonder which good book am I missing. I don't like Proust. Sorry, I have tried several times.

@artistinresidence i read it twice. Once when I was 17 and did not believe in love, I thought it was ridiculous. Then I read it in my 20s and in love so I was finally able to appreciate better Jane Austin.

ever read anything by [c=#800000]john-steinbeck[/c]? lotsa' classics down that aisle … [c=#800000]"of mice and men"[/c] … [c=#800000]"grapes of wrath"[/c] … [c=#800000]"the pearl"[/c] … [c=#800000]"east of eden"[/c]. think my favorite was the one about the pearl. of course, many of his works contain hidden meanings … such as what did the pearl represent?

@muffinman I have been wanting to read grapes of wrath but always read something else Instead. Did you like it?

@Misamisa guess it didn't make a big enough impression on me to remember … geeez, even the pearl doesn't jog much of my memory … veritably, i should read it again.
"[c=#800000]hello … is this the public library?[/c]"
