I Hate When People Lie

Whay do mean-spirited people make this stuff up? And why do people, including those on this site, believe it and pass it on without checking into its accuracy?

Claim: That first patient given COVID-19 vaccine in the UK has died.

Verification: Elisa Granato, the first volunteer in the UK coronavirus vaccine trial is very much alive

Elisa Granato is the first patient to be given a coronavirus vaccine in the UK. She is not dead. she is very much alive. She herself replied to the false post shared with the news of her death. On her Twitter account she wrote “Nothing like waking up to a fake article on your death … I’m doing fine everyone. Please don’t share the article in question, we don’t want to give them attention/clicks.

@Quizzical hmmm
Again, wasn’t aware
Last I read was a vaccine was a year or more away and that there are near hundreds of strains of the virus

@SW-User Well, I can only reiterate what's being reported in the news 🤷‍♂️

@Quizzical all the news’ likes to spread as many strains of something as there is the virus
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@SW-User Well, I doubt they would report something this important if it were totally untrue.

@Quizzical we could only hope that, Quizz

@SW-User You asked a good question. I think the answer is that vaccine trials, evaluating their effectiveness, have begun in the US and the UK. I think in other countries as well. The trials are still in the early stages.
