I Hate When People Lie

Whay do mean-spirited people make this stuff up? And why do people, including those on this site, believe it and pass it on without checking into its accuracy?

Claim: That first patient given COVID-19 vaccine in the UK has died.

Verification: Elisa Granato, the first volunteer in the UK coronavirus vaccine trial is very much alive

Elisa Granato is the first patient to be given a coronavirus vaccine in the UK. She is not dead. she is very much alive. She herself replied to the false post shared with the news of her death. On her Twitter account she wrote “Nothing like waking up to a fake article on your death … I’m doing fine everyone. Please don’t share the article in question, we don’t want to give them attention/clicks.

There isn't a vaccine yet trials have just started with a number of people I suppose using a number of different drugs findings won't be assessed for six months lets hope for the best.

Here is what I found interesting:

The researchers started screening healthy volunteers in March for the “ChAdOx1 nCoV-19" vaccine trial in the Thames Valley Region of England. ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 is made from a virus (ChAdOx1), which is a weakened version of a common cold virus (adenovirus) that causes infections in chimpanzees, that has been genetically changed so that it is impossible for it to grow in humans.

The aim of the human trial is to assess whether healthy people can be protected from Covid-19 with this new vaccine called ChAdOx1 nCoV-19. It will also provide valuable information on safety aspects of the vaccine and its ability to generate good immune responses against the deadly virus.

@SW-User You asked a good question. I think the answer is that vaccine trials, evaluating their effectiveness, have begun in the US and the UK. I think in other countries as well. The trials are still in the early stages.
