Was your school segregated?

Mine was. I was actually shocked in 2013 to see my cousins going to school with white children and other races.
No. But I integrated it, I was the first. It wasn’t easy.
But again, this was in 1966. I would be rather surprised to see a segregated school in 2013.
@tindrummer Yes, it was in California, 1966, less than 10 years after Little Rock and 2 years after the Civil Rights Act.

@bijouxbroussard I'd say you paid your dues and you have even more respect from me.

No. However, my town was a very "white" town. I think we had one black student.

@4meAndyou Sounds like where I live. The white towns have like 2 1/2 black people living there.
@4meAndyou Same for me, the black student was a foster child though.
I'm about forty years older than you and my school was integrated. Where did you live?

Lots of schools are lowkey segregated in florida.

None of the schools I attended (Public or Private) in New York City or Long Island were segregated. In some public schools, children were sent by bus to schools farther from where they lived in order to insure that the schools were not segregated.

@DragonFruit You didn't attend ALL the schools there. We still have them.

No. One of the definite advantages of a far left school. I graduated from there in 1956.

Yes but the immigrants did it to themselves tbh. In sweden the immigrants are more racist than anyone else.

@MartinTheFirst we did go to the same school though
