I Like People Who Take Off Their Shoes Before Entering A Home

My home is a shoes and socks free zone! Shoes off right in the porch and then for me and the kids it’s socks off too and placed in the sock basket.
It’s more relaxing, comfortable and healthy to just be around the home barefoot. Plus I don’t go on a massive sock hunt on laundry days. 😀

No shoes allowed in our home. It is ridiculous to walk dirt into the house. Catherine and I are always barefoot because of the polished floors, but guests only need take their shoes off if they prefer 🙂

@QuietSophie I only expect bare feet for myself and the kids 🙂 guests have to just take shoes off but are always welcome to be barefoot with us.

We have a bench by the door where people can comfortably sit down and remove shoes. Everyone's slippers are kept under the bench. So shoes off(socks usually off as well) and slippers on, or bare feet in the house. We have highly polished floors around the entrance ( open plan ) so socks are deadly.

How can you be nude if you are wearing shoes. Nude means totally naked.

Agreed but there are some nudists that would happily spend a day in socks @mazza62

Ilive in FL so I am barefoot most of the time !

I'm sure if you were to make a poll asking all nudists if they were anything in the home you would have 99 % of them barefoot in the house.i like to drive my truck barefoot as well even though its against the law here in canada.plus nothing beats the feeling of walking trails barefoot especially in the dew of the morning.

I like the idea of a sock basket. Gonna have to try that. I'm always barefoot in the house, and anywhere else I can be.

@BarefootedBoy growing up,my mother kept a laundry basket in the kitchen where we could deposit socks when we came in. Boys especially had smelly sweaty socks after being at school or playing out. So they went in the laundry basket.
BarefootedBoy · 56-60, M
We never had that, but I'm going to put one here. If I have to wear socks for anything, I want 'em off as soon as I get in the door, and a basket is a great idea.
mazza62 · 61-69, M
@BarefootedBoy also the laundry basket ww useful when we came in covered in mud from playing out. Sometimes we'd b caked. So we just stripped off and went and got straight in the bath. That way the house wasn't covered in mud.
We had house clothes growing up. So when we got in we changed into them.
I still do this and all my male friends do. They always had house clothes.
Old habits and all that

I've been barefoot before in some people's houses. My friend has a small daughter and he always asks us to remove our shoes before coming into their house. He doesn't mind that I walk around his place barefoot.

Always barefoot here at our house, and many other friends and family. We've always been that way. Kids were raised going barefoot (and also nude). It's so natural and healthy!
nahright09 · 41-45, M
yeah culturally it's not acceptable to keep shoes on indoors. Grew up with that and do the same in my home.
Bearserks · 31-35, M
Carpet or hardwood?
SandraB · 36-40, F
@Bearserks Not when vacuumed regularly
Bearserks · 31-35, M
@SandraB I disagree, you would need industrial tools to maintain true cleanliness because of how deep down stuff gets in the carpet.
SandraB · 36-40, F
@Bearserks Perhaps.

Catzgano · 31-35, F
I’m not going barefoot in some ppl houses.
SandraB · 36-40, F
@Catzgano I don’t expect guests to be barefoot just please remove your shoes.
33person · 26-30, M
What if you leave the house and come back multiple times in one day? Then you end up going through several pairs of socks per person per day.
SandraB · 36-40, F
@33person On those types of days the kids are probably just playing outside and will be barefoot anyway.
