Why is it racist to ask people to have id to vote?

Not trying to cause a fuss or anything but I feel like I must be missing something as a lot of the reasons people are saying could be describing anyone's circumstances...

Some states make it difficult for people to get an ID. They have to go through hoops and often costs more money than they have to pay for everything they need to do to get one.
Ask anyone who had a DL taken away and what they had to do and pay to get a new one once eligible.. It's not easy.
You have to look at each state and find what needs to be done to understand how it becomes such a hindrance to so many people, when it seems like such an easy thing to have.

@HannahSky Bullshit. If a person wants to participate in our electoral process and have a voice they damn well will get an ID no matter how troublesome it is. How f'g hard is it to get a driver's license, get a home loan and how much do they cost?
