Does anyone remember how Washington Republicans hated Trump 4 years ago?

They saw Trump as pulling the carpet out from under them at a crucial time. During the primaries they were constantly telling us Trump did not represent them or their ideals. After the famous " grab 'em by the p___y tape Paul Ryan told his people "Do whatever you have to do to hold onto your seats" meaning don't endorse the GOP presidential candidate if you think it will hurt your chances.

4 years later many of these same people praise Trump. Protect him. Fear getting on his bad side.

I got the impression after Trump unexpectedly won that election that the Republicans thought they'd reign him in and make him part of the Party of Lincoln and Reagan.
Nope.
He made them the Party of Trump.

And the proof is that 7 times as many voters that voted for Trump last time are voting for him again. Source -The Hill

@MarmeeMarch Last time, Trump got slightly less than half the popular vote. Multiply that by 7, and you get more than 3 times the total vote count for all candidates in the last election. ( 7 times 1/2 is 3.5)
@DrWatson How about reading my reply - I said voting - not VOTED ---

@MarmeeMarch I still don't understand what you are trying to say. What number are you multiplying by seven?

As I understand your claim, you are saying that the number of people who are voting for him this time will be more than 3 times the total vote count from last time. That is hard for me to believe.

And what do you mean by "again?" You are saying his support has increased -- those new voters are not voting for him "again."
@DrWatson I gave the source - look it up.

@MarmeeMarch I checked the Hill a few minutes ago. They predict a Biden landslide.
@DrWatson That's nice...
