Racism is over played

Last night I was at my neighbor's apartment my close friend passed away so I have sort of been spending time with her to help me get through it. She talks about race a lot and then we had an interesting talk about how racist is the world really... To be honest in my opinion from a scale of one to ten I would say a two or a three I have experienced racism but it wasn't that aggressive and when I did have this happen it happened years apart from each other I know that there is a certain kind of bias in society but I notice that smiling and friendliness will always have to get you the right sort of attention.

I have only had one real bad situation with racism in my life but I don't judge all white people for it though. I feel today racism is being fueled because it's a political chip BLM supports the democratic party and PB supports the republican party so that further fuels the division. Of course, I am seen as white-washed for saying all this but the truth is I am not white washed I am just me that's it. That being said I feel that things are so politicized now theirs no room to be yourself anymore without being accused of being this or that.

They keep the people divided for their own gains.
That may be so, but racism is still a problem for many. It’s more blatant some places than in others. If you’re a person of color and it hasn’t been a big part of your life experience, you’ve simply been fortunate.

@bijouxbroussard I agree.

Your experience speaks for itself, though.
