No. Based upon journals people kept back then, it doesn’t sound very appealing, to be charitable. On the other hand, when my grandmother told me stories about her life in 1921, that was hard to wrap my head around, too. I tell my niece what 1968 was like, and to her it might as well have been 1821. 😅

@Rose0415 Lol. My parents were in their 20s in the 1950s and hearing them use slang from back then (“you dig it, daddio ? Look at that cat go !”) always had me cracking up—when I was a teenager in the 70s. 😂

@bijouxbroussard My parents were young adults back in the 80's, and I remember hearing 80's slang from them sometimes like "gag me with a spoon" 😂.
