Is the world shutdown what some older people suggesting, showing Millennials just have no idea how to cope with life?
It's a consequence of their being the first generation largely led by the fruit of feminism the children of single parent families? This is some of what I've heard being said. Does history tell if the last Millenials, those born just a decade before the year 1000 A.D, were equally a 'hopeless' generation?

That was undoubtedly an interesting period, when Norsemen, Islamics and Magyars scourged Europe, plague was rampant, Christianity under attack and famine widespread.
Aye, the good old days!

I see way more boomers that are unable to adapt and take even the slightest change to their habits, spoiled as they are, than millennials and youngers tbh. At least where I live.
“The fruit of feminism” ? Apparently you see it as a bad thing that women can leave abusive relationships if they need to ?

[@328496,bijouxbroussard] I haven't meant to imply anything, but forward on the musings of others

And who educated the millennials?
MrAverage1965 · 56-60, M
I don't think Millennials are any more hopeless that other generations
But they grew up in the world of the internet and growing social media.
Something earlier generations cannot understand.

Yes the earliest generation Is the one to bring in the new. They’re ahead of us but their pain as always is getting the older generations, who think they know best, to listen.[@337769,MrAverage1965]

It's not because of feminism. 🤣

It's largely because we became adults right as the antiquated systems our parents and grandparents set up were at the brink of inevitable failure.

This Pandemic is something new to the world, which has never faced such a catastrophe. So it is a new beginning or in other words, the world has to start from scratch. So there is no historic reference to compare.

But yes, the current first generation has been living in a myth, for they have been conducted all along in life and were travelling in life as happy passengers. But now all of a sudden everything has come to a halt and they have to now take control of life.

There is not going to be any olympics .. no competitions .. no jobs ... no employment. no travel .. no use for vehicle.

So the new generation has to unite and now start their own life, and not just depend on the system or government or money.

Time to get away from parents and start life afresh. The problem is the old people are least interested about the future of the world, and just want to pass away... hahahaha

[@390760,in10RjFox] I'm told we faced a pandemic in 1968 with Influenza A which killed far more people than Civid19, and which is still with us rearing its viciousness in various places almost annually.

[@1114330,Bc8627] maybe, but the world was more local then and the young generation developing and aspiring. This one is different in the sense it's killed the economy more than people.

I think this whole shutdown thing is just a social experiment.
