Are you sad because of the death or become it makes you bf sad, I believe that a person can mourn someone that didn't really know, but I'm my opinion you maybe sad because your bf is sad and mourning, be there for each other and don't talk about the person unless he brings him up, then try asking him about the good times they've shard and remind him your there for him if he needs someone to talk to, nobody can ever feel the pain a mourning person is going through, he will never get over it, but he will learn to incorporate it into his life and then he is able to deal with it,

It's that bond, the connection that you and your boyfriend have. When our loved ones are mourning, we may mourn too...even if we didn't really know the person. Did my best to explain.
