Homelessness a problem?

I rarely come into the city center this early, 7.30 am. Circumstances dictated that I did this morning.
In the 400 meters from the Bus Port to this coffee shop I counted 11 vagrants sleeping in shop alcoves.
Australia has 3 times as many homeless, per capita than the US.
I have written often about the inequality of Australia, and though we are looked on as a "Rich" Country, only a few are up there in the comfortable level.
The rest? Totally ignored and shunned by society
It's the climate. I live in the US. A northern state. It's far too cold for homeless 6 months out of the year. Social programs I suspect are your problem. Help people to get on their feet without causing dependence.

@trackboy No one is going to employ a homeless person until they become presentable. An impossibility.

@Gusman they are homeless because they dont have a job. 😺
They won’t impress their global mates by looking after Australians..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Sure. It is all about appearances and if the homeless are hidden, then where is the problem?
😒👌@Gusman
