Should any subject be outside the scope of humour?

Absolutely not, in my opinion. 馃

Maybe rape? Just a thought.

@Reject Although I'm painting a target on myself for saying this, I disagree.

Everything that is immoral should be off limit . Comedy should not be used as a cover or free pass for irresponsible speech

Murder, racism , rape etc

@Thetimetraveler The world is truly fucked if people really believe that such things shouldn't be joked about. The subtext to humour when it comes to controversial subjects, is that everybody knows that it isn't right... it doesn't need to be explicitly said! And if it does, then there is clearly something wrong with you. 馃槀

In many circumstances humor can be used to point out the flaws in accepted behavior. That's good. It can also be used to trivialize the terrible. That's bad.

Just because something is considered 'humor' by someone does not mean it automatically escapes what is spoken and the speaker being judged and found guilty by association with the terrible things they are joking about.

redredredM
torture of children

@redredred I wouldn't find that funny, but equally I wouldn't condone it being outside the realms of humour.

I don't consider anything outside the realm of humor. There's a lot I find unfunny, though.

@Mamapolo2016 A+ answer. I'm definitely not biased though. 馃憖馃槃

There can be a funny angle -- Louis C.K. has one about child molestation, for example.

Anything can be viewed under the light of humor as long as it's done in the right way

98% of the time no. There are, as always, exceptions
KaiserSolze46-50, F
So you're joking then?
