Why is it so easy to fail and so hard to succeed?

It seems like my default mode is failure. Maybe i need too much to feel like i have succeeded. I feel like a shitty husband, father, son and person of belief and faith. I guess it boils down to not doing those things we know must be done to succeed and doing those lazy and stupid things that are easy or immediately gratifying right?
If success were easy, everyone would do it. Somebody's gotta flip the burgers

when I fail at something and I feel like crap, which has happened a lot in my life, I remind myself of something I learned by studying people who have a lot of success, basically, the difference between winners and losers is not the number of times they failed its how they react to failure. when you look at the live of successful people you always hear the same thing, their failed so many times before they got it right but they always get back up and try to do better next time. losers fail once and then write themselves off as losers.

I think it's easier to just keep doing the same thing, even if we know that it hasn't worked in the past. Change is hard. It's often scary, as it often involves facing our fear of the unknown, changing our habits, and, most scary of all, sometimes letting go of certain deeply ingrained beliefs that we may not even be aware of, even if there is ample evidence against them and they no longer serve our best interests.

Really tough to make chnages like that at our age wouldnt you agree? Sometimes i feel like there is almost no time left to make changes and start over in a different direction.@TeresaRudolph71
Just takes a lot of practice... keep trying.

There is many ways to fail and a few to succeed but for each failure there's one less way to fail ( maybe) sometimes it's as easy as viewing a failure differently because you really learn from failure. Keep trying , get up one more time than you fall and you well succeed. That's my opinion anyway.

Failure leads to success as long as the right changes are made... 🤔

@Spoiledbrat at times that can be true.. But you cant keep knocking on the door the same way and except it to open!
That is true. @Chap0406

@Spoiledbrat but your also right that failure does mean your not trying ! But not all the time is that the case 🤨
