Do boys need

A male influence? Personally I've never really had one, just my mum, stepmother and sister in the house then the majority of my teachers have been women, and even some of my coaches have been women. I don't think it's ever negatively impacted me though, what are your thoughts?
I volunteer as an adult mentor for boys who do not have a dad or strong male role model in their lives. Many are at-risk and living with grandparents or relatives. So I think it makes a difference, but also depends on the family situation and what each kid has been through. I have had many male mentors both as a kid and especially in my professional life. Ironically one of my best mentors was a 6th grade female teacher. She gave me confidence and taught me skills I still use today.

I think it helps with regard to balance. Even when he's far from being an ideal father, boys tend to model themselves on what they feel to be good about him - sense of humour, whatever. As long as they can reject the other.

Hey I actually in the middle of needing to hear that kind of answer. Would you say it doesn’t impact you negatively, but on the other side, you feel like something missing?

@Footballstar I see... Thank you for the answer 😊

More like, how do you feel? Can you talk to woman about everything? If your ok with it, it's good

@scott18 yeah, I'd probably be one of the more open people i know when it comes to talking to women

It's not the difference between life and death, but I think it's beneficial. That said, I have always cultivated friendships with women.
