How do you deal with rage?

Does expressing it truly make it go away?

By throwing unbreakable things around. But it doesn’t work in the long run. Rage and stress has destroyed my immune system, I think the way to actually deal with it is to have a talk with the people who cause it, or stay away from them.
In my case I watch motivational videos to get my mind off my issues

Expressing it can be in a lot of different ways. It helps me to write it out, or scratch the pages with a pen so hard that it tears.. or sometimes just listening to rock music that expresses rage and headbanging to it helps. I can’t express it to others, so i deal with it in my own way until i come to terms with what it was that made me angry. Then i accept that life is like that, people are like that, all i have to do is keep on doing what i feel is right, not everyone will like it. That acceptance is what makes the rage go away for me, but to come to that acceptance i need to express it in some way first.

exercise and burn off the dark energy... and after that phrase a concise and rational objection to the source of the rage

The best way I can express rage is by being quiet. Else, I'd screw things up..

@SW-User Definitely my route also. But the downside to internalizing it can be ugly once it finally surfaces.

I really think it doesn't. What I have discovered is that much of emotion is bio-chemical in nature, and it is possible to 'rewire' your brain and change those chemicals and hormones by

Consistent exercise is good, I think. Drain whatever energy you have, so you don't have the energy to go into a rage.

Box ..lift weights. Write angry poetry and blast metal. If all else fails I act like an asshole and disgrace myself.
