@Genieinabottle I know the feeling. My Classics professor (Art Pomeroy) was similarly deeply read & eloquent, it was quite awe-inspiring.

If it's any consolation, I never found anything to do with my history degree either, I've spent 40-odd years in IT, self-educating basically.
