Are we going to see major changes in the world as the wealth goes East?

BlueVeins · 22-25
Yes, but it's important to remember that those Eastern nations that are currently rising are just as deeply flawed as ours are. China is facing a humungous housing bubble, a serious water crisis, an increasingly hostile external environment, and the god emperor of all demographic collapses, for example. India, for its right, struggles with instability, sectarianism, and nationalism.

Wealth will continue to pour into Asia, and that's a good thing overall. But it'll slow down sooner than most people think, may very well even halt altogether. In the case of China, this'll most likely be cataclysmic, as the state's only real source of legitimacy is the material well-being it provides its populace. Other nations may well just slump into mediocrity.

I think the US is about to experience a very sharp decline in the standard of living of the middle class. A country can't print that much money without a side effect, especially if the USD is no longer the reserve currency
I’m just glad some young ppl can see the smoke thru the fog..

Bless your heart 🕺👍

If the wealth goes East then we will see change in the East

Not to most people. If I had to pick I would say Americans will feel it most. The strange protectionist policies they have had for decades will slowly be removed as they are no longer "Number One". They will have to adjust to having a seat at the table, rather than running the Game. And the average citizen is going to feel that in their pocket.

Of course. It is already happening.

Although I feel the wealth of the east has been growing for many years with Asia dominating manufacturing. The west was leading in technology development. But this is changing as well.
LaParisienne · 22-25, F
@Teslin It maybe a technological full circle because the Chinese created lots of things we take for granted these days, including the first computer - the abacus!

@LaParisienne The current domination was never more relevant than during the pandemic. The west was at a stand still waiting for product delivery from China.
We are still paying painful prices and delays for shipping as well.

Manufacturing might be moving east but given the decline and eventual ceasing of oil reliance in the west as heating systems and vehicle production switch to gas or electric power, I’d worry about the long term benefits for eastern nations
