What are your thoughts on the CDC guidelines for not having to wear masks anymore?

I think the CDC is misguiding us on what we need to do about wearing masks. They said that they are no longer required but New York City (where I live) still wants us to wear them. I think we should still wear masks. Here are the reasons.

1. I feel like it's too soon to take them off. We can't just go from having to wear them for a very long time to suddenly taking them off.

2. You don't know who is vaccinated and who's not. The CDC said that fully vaccinated people don't have to wear masks anymore (except for if you're on public transportation), but the problem is you don't know who got the vaccine and who didn't. Some people who are not vaccinated may pretend that they got it.

That is just my opinion. I'd like to know your thoughts.

Since it has been pretty much concluded that most covid is transmitted in aerosol form and not droplets the masks are likely spreading the disease not preventing it.

@EuphoricTurtle Your lack of understanding is your problem not mine.

@hippyjoe1955 Aersol form IS droplets Joe. Tou just made an oxymoron. Aerosols are droplets in the air. So ummmm yeah.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@MethDozer No. Very different. Aerosol remains in the air for an extended period of time. Droplets drop to the floor almost immediately. You can see droplets. You can not see aerosol. Droplet will be caught by the average surgical mask. Aerosol will not be caught by that kind of mask. The aerosol particles simply go through or around the mask.

@hippyjoe1955 You're making that distinction up. An aerosol is literally defined as liquid droplets suspended in air. You're making a distinction on droplet size but if it is spread by one size of droplet it is spread by all size of droplets. Yes, smaller droplets stay suspended for longer than larger droplets yet they both spread the disease and that is also why it was recommended not to use some of those cheap face mask in the closest sense made out of panty hose material and other such thin fabrics because they just help create smaller droplets.

@hippyjoe1955 [quote] An aerosol (abbreviation of "aero-solution") is a suspension of fine solid particles or liquid droplets in air or another gas

@MethDozer The debate over covid spread is exactly as I described it. Droplet spread (the idea behind the masks) is that the droplets are large enough to be caught in a mask. The aerosol is defined as a much smaller particle that can pass through the filter elements of a surgical mask.

@EuphoricTurtle Are you talking to yourself again? Seriously you need to read both sides of the debate. Silly you. You believe the 'experts' and not the evidence. Too Funny!!!
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 as always I would be more than happy to read your evidence.
