You still call it a "black sheep"???

i had a shock to find out that it was now considered racist to do that a few years ago...
@HootyTheNightOwl Its racist if the reader puts that meaning to it, otherwise it is not. There is nothing racist about the childrens poem.

Fun fact: My dads best friend growing up had a sheep farm that had, in fact, a few black sheep, and a brown sheep or two.
@TallMtnMedic It's not down to the readers, though... the pc brigade are brainwashing our children with their ideology - how does a child decide what is racist???

@HootyTheNightOwl Ewe are kidding?!!
@HootyTheNightOwl Who called it "a blacksheep"?

I typed, "Baa baa black sheep"

The child decides its racist when an adult, or trusted person tells them so. It's up to the individual to decide their own meaning, or if they're offended.
@Harriet03 That was my response when my goddaughter's mum explained why she was singing "Baa Baa white sheep", too... i couldn't get over it.

@HootyTheNightOwl World's gone mad!! 🤦‍♀️
@HootyTheNightOwl That's sad that her mum is doing that to her. Insane world we're in.
@TallMtnMedic It's not her mum who's doing it to her, though, it's our "wonderful" education system that's done it. Her mum only told me about the change when i attempted to correct her on the difference between this version of the rhyme and the one that she was singing.

If they are learning this at 3 or 4, what kind of country do we live in???
@HootyTheNightOwl My sister tries to be pc, she tries to use the term "inclusivity" until someone disagrees with her, or brings up the lack of common sense.

It's sad that indoctrination is starting. It's pretty pathetic really. And those same people pushing pc and hypersensitivity are the same ones that will wonder why their little ones are in antidepressants for most of their lives.
