I Want To Talk About Community

There is so much wrong with the way many Government Subsidised Community Service facilities are run.
Those running Aged Care Facilities are being found to be abusing the residents on a regular basis whilst fleecing millions of dollars from the public Purse.
Royal Commissions are held at huge expense with very little in the way of Punishment for the wrong doers.
Not only are the providers in the wrong but also those who are supposed to provide oversight.
Seems to me there are so many people taking a wage and doing very little to earn that wage.
Something called a Sinecure.
A position requiring little or no work but giving the holder status or financial benefit.

The latest failing being an elderly Care Facility Resident being found with Maggots in a head wound.
The Facility is run by multinational health care provider Bupa, a for profit organisation, which really means they put their shareholders first, not the residents they "care" for.
Bupa Aged Care Eden general manager Sharon Benge said they had apologised to the resident and his family.
She said a review of wound management procedures was underway and staff were receiving extra training.
After all these years of operating, extra training required to cleanse wounds?
My friend had health insurance with Bupa. Never again she tells me.

@Robynthebeautiful This same place has been sanctioned continually but are still allowed to operate. System fails. Overseers take too long to shut these places down.

A sadly all too common story when you put profit on a higher pedestal than the health and dignity of fellow humans
