It’s hard to think all religions are the same...

...when Muslims are the only ones killing people over cartoons.

Yes, I know, they’re extremists and extremists exist everywhere. But I’m talking about what’s happening now in the West and I only see one group taking things to this extreme. Why?
This might sound strange but I believe this is a phase of Islam. Islam is 1400 years old so it's basically middle ages for Islam because Christianity around the years 1500 was still in the same phase, I mean look at the chaos the Catholic Church made through out the entire middle ages and the amount of religious wars that happened due to the Church and state being one thing. Just copy and paste that in today's Islamic countries, I personally am an ex Muslim and I live in a Muslim country and I know. Separation of Mosque and state never happened here yet and we still have people being prosecuted for being Atheist or gay.

And besides that whenever there's a plan to bring back the "true Islam" chaos and death occurs right away there are a lot of examples, Algeria in the 90s, Lebanon and Bosnia, Yemen, Syria, Libya and Somalia and more. It all starts with a group saying "your life is a sinful mess we need true Islam"
Christians actually have the same law in the Bible (make no graven image) but there are no Christian theocracies in the world to enforce it.
There are however Muslim theocracies that enforce religious beliefs on everyone. Including those that are psychopaths. And what do psychopaths do with anything they are given? Hurt people.
This is literally what happens when there is no separation between government and religion.

@canusernamebemyusername Finally, an actual answer that isn't just "what about X". Thank you.

All religions are the same, just different names. Without extremists, we would have nothing to talk about or fend off. They get caught up in beliefs and everything else is impossible and sinful. No God ever smited me yet for the sins only humans SAY the creator defines.
@openwater dumb answer

You might not be looking close enough or your research skills might not be that strong.

@SW-User Are killing people over cartoons the only representation of extremism?
SW-User
@MarkPaul No there’s also driving a bus into a crowd people...or going on a stabbing spree.

@SW-User Or backing a guy with 0.0 religious principles in exchange for a preferred court pick. Or, murdering a doctor who performs abortion because he violates the principles of "right to life."
There was a point when certain people were lynching men, women and even children by hanging, even burning them alive at the stake. They originally called themselves The Christian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
Extremists have never been unique to one specific group.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard No they haven’t, but I’m curious why one group is producing many of the extremists right now.

All that matters is that false teachings disappear.
