I Grey School Short

I was driving home yesterday through Midhurst in Sussex, and noted perhaps a 11 or 12 year old boy with his father. He was wearing a dark blazer and mid thigh length grey flannel school shorts with long grey socks. He looked very smart and was laughing at something his father had said.

There is one boy who attends the high school near me who wears short trousers and he always looks smart

@skimpyboy These days the change is older boys do not mind wearing shorts. There is not the same dividing line. i.e not the age thing not something that just little boys wear, indeed adult men wear shorts without a thought whereas in the old days once men went into long trousers that was that.

@skimpyboy That is true enough, though it does seem to depend on the area. There is a middle school near me where most of the boys wear shorts in the summer. Sometimes it is not the school boys but stupid school rules. The boys would be much more comfortable in their short trousers

@strictshorts Very true I remember the case in the summer of 2018 when it was red hot and a school refused to allow boys to wear shorts so a lot wore skirts
