What Columbus Day? It’s Indigenous Peoples Day! ✊🏽

Yes, there’s already a Native American Day next month, but we deserve to have two holidays, so there!

Someone actually blocked me this morning because I said that Cumbus didn't discover north America! 😂🤣
@Straylight The Vikings did. We got around.
@Straylight What an ignoramus!
@PerchingDove Us Vikings had ships, baby. Big ones. 😏
@DarkHeaven I know! I find the story of Leif Erikson much more compelling.
@PerchingDove We literally had ports all over much of the world at one point. Or at least as far as we could sail. And made babies with the indigenous people. We were such hoes. lol
@DarkHeaven You guys were a little nicer to us than Columbus was. In Erikson’s case, I think we were the assholes to him. He tried! 😂
@PerchingDove Per the sagas he didn’t really run into the indigenous people before sailing back to Greenland with grapes and timber from Newfoundland and never came back, but some relatives with crew were killed by the Natives in a skirmish on a return trip. Bow and arrow were great weapons at the time, especially with gorilla war tactics. This was some 300 years before any kind of guns, which definitely didn’t favor Native Americans, since they didn’t have any.
