Heels in the Airport
Something that always catches my eye when I am in an airport is when a woman is making her way through the terminal wearing heels. I like her immediately, and often compliment her on her fortitude to brave the long walks in an airport in a pair of sky high heels. In a day an age where people wear pajamas and slippers on flights, the click of heels on the tile is a welcome sound.
Last time I flew I was in line with a woman at check-in who was wearing a cute pair of mary janes. I told her I liked them and later, when I saw her on the other side of security, I noticed she switched them out for flats. "I liked the other ones better." I said pointing at her feet as I passed her at her gate. She laughed.
