I Am Human

I just had a really genuine human interaction with my Lyft driver. For me, any human interaction is quite rare as I tend to isolate and hide due to my depression and PTSD. I only see people at work, then go back home and that's it. So I got to talk with my Lyft driver who is an absolute gentleman.

But that's not all.

Throughout the entire drive, we talked about how difficult it is to be latino in this country under systemic oppression, especially under the new president. It was such a beautiful and motivating conversation that made me remember that there are good people out there who understand the struggles you face and still manage to smile through it.

It made me feel human again.
