Ones I've been to:

The Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Good for shopping and an amusement park in the center.

Any cheese factory/cheese store in Wisconsin. Get some fresh cheese curds; you will never find a better cheese snack than fresh from the factory.

The Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. Great exhibits and historical planes on display.

Driving? If you are driving through Minnesota you can’t get to Michigan without going through Wisconsin. Go through the south shore of Lake Superior in WI.
