It's a toss up between German and French, with German i could read Goethe, Kleist, Schiller, Heine, Nietzsche and many more in the original. With French i could then do the same with the great French writers and thinkers.

It’s a toss up between a few of those, honestly. I’d love to be able to speak French, but with Japanese, I could watch anime without it needing to be subbed or dubbed.
