Although I'm grateful for local anesthetics, I hate the after effects. It'll be nice when I don't have to consciously take time every few minutes to make sure that I'm not chewing the inside of my face to shreds. 😝
And to think because I've had very little dental work when I started my training I actually used to want to be numbed up. I tried the topical gel, local, and had some sedation. :-) now that was fun...
@Byron8by7 @QueenofCups it really is the best I haven't ever had intravenous but that's the stuff that gets you talking all your secrets lol. The things I've heard but I think my experience may have been better because I was with a pediatric dentist. And their techniques are different they want to soothe you. Whereas I think oral surgeons should adopt a similar approach but they are the roughest of all the dentists. So if you have a good experience with an oral surgeon you can tolerate any dentist. Honestly the sensation for me was like when your on the incline of a ride but you never dip like a rollercoaster does and the air is so cool and refreshing it tastes as clean as it actually is. It's euphoric
