I Just Have To Say

@SW-User I thought as well. I personally adore and respect traditions of all cultures, and I love when they inspire me. But I saw a lot of hate on the internet, I'm almost afraid to do anything with my style because someone might get me wrong. I often tie my hair with any stick-alike object (pencils, chopsticks etc) because it's more practical, not to mock anyone's culture.

@Melpomene exactly, think about this, how about I get insulted with every black person who prefers to straighten their hair to be more like mine other than being afro or curly

@SW-User Exactly. But, you know, they were slaves hundred years ago... that gives them this mighty power. In fact, lots of people that are forcing that ''ay, don't be racist, that's our culture, show some respect'' are actually discriminating us. That way, I should be allowed to wear only braids and flowers. But if they wore it, it'd be because they like it, not because they're ''hating'' my culture.
I agree there are some people who're taking it lightly, but most of us appreciate it.
