Is being a luke warm christian a thing ?

Meaning are these Christian's who are hypocrites? Would that not mean anyone who considers themself a Christian a hypocrite?Since no one is perfect. Only God is perfect .

Looking for honest answers

It's practically impossible for any human to be perfect. I know that means we should still try ...but still ...discuss..don't argue...we are all adults ..

@hippyjoe1955 No ,not at all .I am genuinely curious about these things . I am a new believer and have a lot of questions that I need answers to . Believe what you want about me .I am just being me .

@SW-User Can you share your conversion experience? Love to hear it.

@hippyjoe1955 It was through interactions with someone who is a Christian. I was once an Athiest . I have always wanted to believe in God ,but didn't. I wanted to know what it was to talk and be in the presence of God . In the past year these things I have experienced in different ways and it has changed me in ways I never could imagine.I just had to open my mind and heart just a little bit more . That said I still question everything.

@SW-User Have you formed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 Yes ..I still am looking to get baptized. Still trying to find the right church for me .

@SW-User Good for you. Yes finding a good church can be difficult. Too many evangelical churches have wandered from the pure gospel and the mainline and ancient churches have almost abandoned Christianity altogether. I was very blessed when I was a new Christian (former proud atheist) because the church the Lord led me to had an old fashioned pastor who preached the Gospel and the church body supported him in his efforts.

@hippyjoe1955 Wonderful. I know I don't need a church to worship but I have always loved the idea of being part of a church community .I have never felt that before . I will keep searching .

@SW-User It is not the worship that truly matters. It is the guidance you receive from fellow believers. If you simply stay home and 'worship' the Lord you have no idea if you are on the right path or not. How could you? You are newborn Christian. The reason you go to Church is for guidance in following Jesus.

@hippyjoe1955 I need all the guidance I can get. Being new to this is confusing but at the same time it feels right for me .
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User yes it is always right. Your confusion is very normal. I had the same experience when I was a new Christian. I tended to wander and had to be brought back by older Christians. Christianity is one of those relationships that is hard to understand. Over the years I have found I can identify with many in the Bible and their experiences with God. St Paul in particular.

@hippyjoe1955 I can see that . I'm having a hard time because I really can't talk to anyone about this . I am hoping I can find someone who will minister to me soon. It has to be the right person .I'm not just going to listen to anybody just because they claim to be a Christian That doesn't mean that I won't hear others out too . I am open to listening to what others have to say .

@SW-User I think we too often seek out an individual rather than a group of individuals such as a church. Ask Jesus to lead you to a good church and He will.

@hippyjoe1955 Thank you I will
