Let's say a person has a deadly diease, but can't afford medical care, do you think they should be legally allowed to hire a doctor to kill them?
Doomflower · 36-40, M
No. It is unethical to limit medical care because of someone's ability to pay.

I do think physician assisted euthanasia should be allowed but the decision to die cannot be driven by finances. That's a recipe for abuse of the poor. As if they don't get enough shit already.

@Doomflower yeah that's true. I can already see it. Richer or middle class people encouraging the poor to end their lives.

Yup, we live in a pretty terrible world

@Thetinydog exactly. Like, you sound well meaning but it just goes to prove that saying about the road to Hell, ya know?

Absolutely...but it should not be for financial reasons. Healthcare should be free to those that need it.

Yes I do, any one who wants to take the easy way out should be allowed to IMO with counseling first. And for others who have a terminal disease and suffering should have that as an option on the table if they just can’t take it anymore.

It shouldn't be illegal. It's ethical to put any other animal of of its misery except humans. Crazy..
