Without getting into Bose or Bang & Olufsen ear buds, Apple's Beats by Dr. Dre, Powerbeats Pro are excellent, and better than the AirPods, as they should be since the Powerbeats are a premium over the AirPods.

I use Jamz. Got them from QVC and they work great. I can even answer my phone through them.
