@helenS scratches your head too lol

@helenS In a sense no. I think everyone - me anyway - has conflicting aspects in their makeup. Sometimes by unduly stressing one side, I can hide the other. I think I'm going into this too deeply; maybe there's an element of schizophrenia, or just plain bullshit. I can be unhappy and yet enjoy life up to a point - both at more or less the same time.

You have to be more or less true to yourself, which is a slightly different thing.

@alan20 most confusing reply

@switchfoot Well its not always easy to know one's true self. A clown is often deeply unhappy - the jokes and grins can be there to hide that.

Of course. Pretending to be something you're not eats at you.

@Peaceful and how can we be ourselves in an ever changing world...
Peaceful · F
@switchfoot the only constant is change. We change as well. But if you are acting a certain way to please others or fit in? You're going to be miserable.

certainly easier. nothing to remember!

@SatyrService easier said than done
SatyrService · M
@switchfoot only if you are uncomfortable with who you are.
if so,, change that
