People that are over 20 and don’t have a driver’s license is pathetic!

Those of you who are like almost 30, it’s been LONG OVERDUE! Most people know how to drive by them and frankly, if you don’t have a drivers license or I don’t know how to drive, then you’re just pathetic loser. I mean if someone you know how to get around by taking the bus or Uber and don’t depend on people to take you places, then I’ll give you credit. No offense and I don’t mean to sound like a bitch but most people get their drivers license at ages 16-20. I mean most and get it at 16 years old and that’s the average person they get their drivers license and that’s the law! If you’re almost 30 or even in your 40s then you should’ve wanna drive along time ago and you’re going to regret it! Yes I am making you feel bad and uncomfortable on purpose. You should’ve learned it’s your fault! I’m gonna make you regret it. Someone pushes you to drive just do it! Get your own ride! I got my drivers license at 17. I’ve been driving for two years well almost 3 years and I love it. If you don’t have a license yet you have to have a good reason why.

What about people who can’t afford the lessons, or a car, or have a condition that means they are unable to drive, or a disability?

@PetiteJulie01 That’s not your call to make. There’s law and regulation that prevents people who can’t perform certain task or meet requirements from having a licence.

Are you serious?! Do you even know the reason why some people don’t even drive? Some of us have a disability and some people have medical conditions I won’t let them drive. Also you shouldn’t judge people unless you walk into their shoes! Just because you got your drivers license doesn’t mean you should be a show off be superior to all of us! That makes you look pathetic and superficial. Not trying to be rude but I’m just being honest! Driving is a privilege not a right! Theres this thing called public transportation. Duh! Get over yourself and stop judging people! Your words are so harsh.

There are ones of us who are over 20 and do not possess a driver's license.

I am one of those "pathetic" people. I am 66 and do not drive.

My father attempted to get me behind the wheel. Once. He was an alcoholic and wanted me to take him to the liquor store at 1:00 AM for more beer - under the guise of "teaching me to drive". I refused and that was the end of it.

My parents took me around. So did a neighborhood lady who recently died. I am "housebound" due to the pandemic - but also content.

Not everyone wants or NEEDS to drive.

I haven't had a driver's license for over 4 years now. I also haven't owned a car or driven in about 15 years. Hopefully, I will never have that incredible expense again.

You do realize that other countries or even states don’t get a license because it’s just not needed? NYC and Tokyo to name two examples. The norm there is traveling by trains, buses, subway etc.

We have this amazing thing called "public transportation" over here. Even because if you live on a historic island I can assure you that a car would be pretty much useless.

I'm 26 and don't have a license. I also don't need one, as I walk everywhere. If I need to get somewhere, I'll either call a taxi service or ride the bus.
Not everyone needs a license. Some of us can't have one. Your take on this is incredibly shallow and selfish.

You wont nake me regret it! My parents never drove and ive always used the bus or walked. Hubby drives but hes already in work before my day starts so no free rides for me!

@DCarey So did the brother between me and the youngest child. If it had been possible, he would have been driving at fourteen - he knew how to handle a car long before he took actual possession of one and what to do if he ran into trouble.

If you live your life in a city like London that has good transport systems such as the Underground, trains, buses and taxis there is no real need to learn to drive. 🙂
