@Peapod I do have many users muted myself, who post the fetish and explicitly worded sexual acts content. Guess it's not that much different than blocking them, since I do it so I don't have to see their posts.
@Piper Muting is a great option here and I do use it too. I do admit to outright blocking people that post really disgusting sexual acts simply because that is not a person I would want to interact with at all.
BTW, reading through your old post on Amirite. These were the days of JD and Serenity playing moderators. Acccck! I do recall reading their antics and never regretting coming on to interact with them. I know he was permanently banned there, like many others.
I don't miss that sort of thing at all. At least here, people like that can be blocked for good and you won't see them, even after signing off.
Wouldn't bother me at all to do that, it's not life or death with me. But who I have blocked are the vulgar perv/fetishist types, so they would get blocked again. 😐
I would, perhaps, if I had anyone here blocked. One of my own questions on this subject, on another site, amused [i]me[/i] more than most any others..to post. 😬
@Piper My friends and I were pretty lucky to actually catch some of that. 🥰 You were a champ for a few of us that became easy pickings for those that knew we were not going to come on there and engage them. Of course those same people fought with each other which was a later lesson that it was never as personal as it felt at the time.
Luckily, things worked out and I enjoy my time here. I do limit my time on social media in general and do all I can to focus on other things that I love to do.
@Peapod It was sickening, and yeah for sure, some of those people who delighted in personally trashing others with glee...turned on each [i]other[/i] with (figurative) teeth bared like a rabid animal. Rabid animals aren't actually malicious though, of course. [i]They[/i] just caught a disease.
