if you met a medieval person that just time travelled to our time what is the first technology you show them?

But the height of medieval power was the strength and the complexities of the cities. And strolling a medieval person onto the Las Vegas strip at night...?

It would be perceived a city divinely blessed. All of its residents, even the poorest, are living decadently compared to their medieval kin. A desert Mecca that brings water across states to feed its thirst. It can be the height of Summer outside, and yet mysteriously these buildings are cool as a spring morning, and bright as the noonday sun, any hour of the day or night.

And the sheer spectacle of the strip...? Rome at its height is drab in comparison.

Imagine it just happens to be in time for the CES expo or Comicon? We lose our shit and we're used to this kind of stuff. Our medieval person is going to return to their time, and spawn a new religion from the mythology they speak of.

@popmol Soap requires either animal fáts or vegetable oils, both were pricy at the time and little was wasted on soap except for the wealthy. Even the ines who had it used it more for laundry than for bathing. And bathing was not that very common or frequent. Even the Romans never knew about soap.
