Why do many old people look younger than their age and many young people look older.

Interesting point.
In my teenage years and 20s people would regularly estimate me up to 10 years older than I was. So I always thought I'd look older than I am.
Now though I tell people I'm retired and often they say "I'd have put you in your 40s" essentially 10 years younger.
I think it must be a cultural / media projection thing maybe.

@Ichangemyusername Kind of. I'm 51 but about 20 odd in my mind. Screw getting old.
