Interesting point.
In my teenage years and 20s people would regularly estimate me up to 10 years older than I was. So I always thought I'd look older than I am.
Now though I tell people I'm retired and often they say "I'd have put you in your 40s" essentially 10 years younger.
I think it must be a cultural / media projection thing maybe.
