Is it worth going to the ER if you hip hurts and feels unstable?

I don't think it's anything to bother them with. I was probably on it too much today and need to rest.

I don't mean to be intrusive but if you have signs of Alzheimer's you may not even remember.

It could be anything from inflammation, avascular necrosis, signs of infection..

Getting a professional opinion would be wiser..

Mean while try to rest and don't pressure it too much, that includes the sex. Take a small break.

@Miram I don't think I did anything recently to make it hurt this way. The last major thing was falling down the stairs drunk months ago

@Astro Then no need to go to the ER, get those tests which you know are necessary this week and mention this pain to your doctor. And if you have any other symptoms keep them in a journal too.

I have to do that myself. It was helpful in diagnosis.
