If a dog is really trying to be aggressive and bite you and you kick it
Is that animal abuse still?

Self defense if you weren't provoking it first.

Depends on why the dog is trying to bite you. They dont just bite unprovoked unless they are sick.

[@573519,Privatehell] If you were ignoring it you weren't provoking it

[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] yet it was still lunging for me every time I turned.

[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] Dogs can attack people whether they are provoked or not. They are unpredictable.
Caprice · 36-40, F
No. It's self defense.
Steve42 · 51-55, M
Nope. Self Defense even if you provoked it and it's not on a leash.
DearAmbellina2113 · 36-40, F
[@131646,Steve42] wrong
Steve42 · 51-55, M
[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] If a dog attacks you, you provoked it. Intentionally or not. Here if the animal is not on a leash it is the dog owners fault.

Legally no

lol... hell no, he's getting a couple swift leg kicks until he's eating through a straw

I’ve shot one before when it attacked my sister with no warning whatsoever and no one was about to tell me that it was unwarranted animal cruelty. We were just walking by a house and it hopped the fence and jumped on her for no reason. I love animals but I won’t hesitate to do what’s necessary if I believe anyone I care about is in danger of being badly hurt or killed

[@576928,ChiRho] with a real gun?
ChiRho · 22-25, M
[@526651,royalblue1193] Yes I was nineteen at the time and had concealed carry
mamabear41 · 41-45, F
No, because it's self defense 🤷‍♀️. Same thing if a random person attempts to rob or mug you.
