If you could pick your family do you think you would have made the cut?

Not sure - I am the younger daughter (older stepsister) in a family of four. My younger-by-10-months brother is still working - he's a little overbearing because he has three jobs (yes, three) and makes good money on all of them. He sure isn't hurting for funds! But with the hours he keeps and all on the road he's doing, he'll be in the grave before me. The youngest brother has been out of work since he was in a car accident and trying to get a settlement from the insurance company (over a year now). Thank God his wife and son are working - it pays the bills.

I was adopted so...my birth mother chose to give me up. However, I was chosen by a loving couple to join their family.

Unless I was over the age of 10 - after that, no. I wasn't skinny enough for him.
