I don't think I want it to be a reality...WAY too much can go wrong. Beyond the fact that you technically die every time you transport, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle basically guarantees that you'll come out the other end as the human version of scrambled eggs. And even assuming we manage to overcome that there's still the fact that having your body vanish leaves a vacuum behind, and the force of the air slamming into itself to fill that vacuum would create a sonic boom big enough to kill anyone within a few feet of you and permanently deafen anyone within a hundred yards.
