Do you blame others for your miseries or accept them as a part of your fate?

For instance wrong relationships, going bankrupt, losing a legal case and many more. Does someone else's fault become your misery?

I have discovered that some of them are caused by others, some of them cause by myself, and some of them are just life and beyond my control. I just have to determine which and act accordingly to deal with it.

I blamed all.. them,fate,myself.. you're angry, and you can't help it. You're not cursed because of those feelings, it's all in your actions that define you.

I developed a nasty habit of blaming everyone else for everything that went wrong in my life. Problem is can make you bitter and nasty to others, it's also a form of burying your head in the sand rather than facing up to problems and their causes. Sure, sometimes other people are solely to blame, but not always so. Being able to objectively analyse a situation and causation can be painful (you learn things about yourself you'd rather not face up to) but ultimately beneficial (you can suss what's causing you grief in life and do something about it).

I take responsibility for everything that happens to me.

@SW-User Alot of what you're saying is not active, but reactive. Many times we take a situation involving others or just something in life itself and take an action or make a decision that at the time we think is right but it reality it's partially or completely wrong...it's not our fault and we aren't to blame, but in hindsight we often beat ourselves up over it and tell ourselves how stupid we were. I understand what you're saying too.🤠 Something we did (and in some cases didn't do) may play a role in what went wrong but it wasn't deliberate or intentional and definitely shouldn't cause us to blame ourselves for the whole mess.

@indyjoe Thx Indy. There's a lot of truth to what you've said. I am usually my worst critic, so I know that plays into the situation too. Something I need to work on I guess. 😉
